| The Sportsman Channel, returns again this year to be an official sponsor of National Hunting and Fishing Day.
This years event will feature:
- Trick archery demonstration with Randy Otiker at 11 and 1pm
- Doug and Patti Kennedy of Waterdog Specialties Dog will host two training seminars
- TSC producer Dan Rinehart will host a Taxidermy seminar
- TSC producer Craig Foster of Flyway Highway will explain what it takes to become a producer and host of a national show
- Illusion Game Calls will have calling demonstrations (along with calls available for purchase)
- Live radio remote with FM 106.1
- Sportsman's Warehouse will be giving away gift cards to each child that turns in a video game at registration
- Smokey the Bear and Warden Mitch Groenier will teach the importance of conservation along with wilderness survival
- Safari Club International will host Sensory Safari
- Waukesha County Hunters Education Association will have a variety of hands on activities and hunter's safety registration
- Wisconsin's DNR will give an all day lesson on Wisconsin's lakes (types of fish, safety, etc) and then it's off to the pond to go fishing for monster bluegills
- United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation will be running the 5 stand and providing shooting lessons for beginners. They will also be raffling off a Winchester X3 Camo.
- Kids can participate in our first annual "Minnow Race" for fun prizes
- The Spinning Sportsman Wheel will be running all afternoon - offering the children a chance to win gifts courtesy of Cabela's
- The Kids Kraft Korner is back this year - this time with unique recyclable materials for the kids to make bird houses
- Educational opportunities will be offered by the following organizations: Safari Club International, Wisconsin DNR, Waukesha Hunter’s Safety, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW), National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) and Pheasants Forever.
National Hunting and Fishing Day was founded and remains actively sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), but today the holiday has an official home at Wonders of Wildlife Museum. The Springfield, Mo., museum is the only hunting- and fishing-focused facility that’s both affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution and accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association.
